校园安全 & Emergency Communication

校园安全 ensures the safety of faculty, staff and students on Kettering's campus. The University has a team of full-time Safety Officers that are available to assist faculty, staff and students 24/7.

校园安全 Service Center

Kettering utilizes a state-of-the-art video surveillance system with over 180 security cameras around campus.​ These cameras provide officers visibility and coverage of the campus as well as parts of the surrounding community. In addition to the video surveillance system, the University has 15 blue light emergency phones located in parking areas and near several buildings. These phones provide instant communication 24/7 to an on-duty officer at the 校园安全 office.

The officers patrol campus parking lots, property and buildings, along with other locations such as 阿特伍德球场, that are frequented by our students, staff and faculty members.

The 校园安全 Service Center is located in the Great Court of the 校园 Center. The Service Center can be contacted at (810) 762-9501.

校园安全 Shuttle/Escort Service

校园安全 provides students and employees safety escort/shuttle services 24/7. The 校园安全 escort/shuttle provides services to parking lots, nearby off-campus housing, medical treatments and important off-campus appointments. To use this service, call (810) 762-9501.

校园安全 Procedures

The main doors of the 校园 Center and other entrances on campus, including the 校园 Center after hours and on the weekends, can only be opened with a valid ID.

Students, faculty and staff have access to classrooms and labs in the C.S. Mott building, Academic Buildings, Thompson Hall and the 学习共享 with valid ID access.
